The J.A kuffour anniversary cup match between regional rivals, Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold has been postponed to December 30th.

The two clubs were scheduled to face each other on December 1st in celebration of the former President's birthday.

However, due to Asante Kotoko's participation in continental football the date had to be shifted to December 30th.

The Porcupine Warriors confirmed the change in date on their twitter handle.

"Our J.A. Kuffour Cup match against regional rivals, Ashgold, has been postponed to December 30, 2018. Details coming up soon," the Reds posted.

Meanwhile, the Porcupine Warriors have gained a walk over from the preliminary stages of the CAF Confederations Cup after the Federation of Cameroon Football failed to submit a representative on time.

Asante Kotoko will now face the winner of the game between Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks and ARTA Solar of Djiobouti.

The J.A kuffour Cup match will be played in Kumasi to honour the former President of the country, who was a former chairman of the Porcupine Warriors.
