Goals from Fatawu Mohammed and David Offei handed Asante Kotoko a 2-1 win over Red Bull Academy in a pre-season friendly match played at Sogakope on Wednesday.

The match played on a synthetic pitch is to fine tune Kotoko’s preparations ahead of the new premier league campaign which starts on Sunday.

The win is the second successive victory of the Porcupine Warriors under new head coach Maxwell Konadu after their impressive 3-1 win over rivals, Hearts of Oak last weekend.

The team will continue to camp in Sogakope until Saturday when they’ll travel to Tema for their league opener with Tema Youth.
