Kotoko board member clears doubts over Dramani's appointment

Asante Kotoko board member Jerry Asare has confirmed Mas-ud Didi Dramani is the substantive head coach of the side – clearing all doubts over his appointment.

There have been a lot of uncertainty over the composition of the technical department of the team following the departure of Maxwell Konadu at the end of last season.

It was not quite clear whether Dramani had taken up full responsibility of the team since MTNFootball.com broke the news of his appointment two months ago.

Several media reports also suggested Dramani's move to Kotoko was still at a negotiating stage.

Asare has however finally put all speculations to rest by stating emphatically, the current national women's U-17 coach is indeed the new man at the helm at Kotoko.

''Now, the man (Dramani) is in charge," he told MTNFootball.com.

''That does not necessarily mean that if Konadu would like to help Dramani he will not accept it, it is purely a technical issue.

"If he (Konadu) wants to come and help then that’s fine but I can for sure tell you that now the head coach who is in charge now is Dramani.''

The Kotoko team is currently in a residential camp preparing for their Premier League title defence which starts on October 7.

Dramani is however expected to be more visible in his work with the Porcupine Warriors after the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Azerbaijan next month.
