Asante Kotoko chairman Dr K.K Sarpong will visit the Ghana U-20 camp ahead of their crucial qualifier against Uganda this weekend.

The Black Satellites need to overturn a 3-1 suffered in the first leg of the 2013 African Youth Championship qualifier a fortnight ago in Nakivubo.

The team’s progression is made even more imperative following a string of unimpressive displays in recent times.

Therefore efforts re being made from all quarters to ensure the 2009 Africa and World champions make it into the ultimate qualifier against Morocco following the withdrawal of Gambia.

And Dr. Sarong doesn’t want to be left out in these efforts as he looks to inspire the team to victory while also taking time to interact with the club’s supporters up in the north.

"It is Dr Sarpong's believe that his presence will be a huge morale booster to the boys," Kotoko’s spokesman Listowell Bukarson told GHANAsoccernet.com.

"He knows that these boys are the future of the national team and every frantic effort by individuals as well as institutions will count towards actualising that dream of qualification.

"He sees that rare opportunity to meet and interact with the supporters as extremely significant to the mobilization of the fans ahead of the ensuing Premiership and the African campaign."

Dr Sarpong will travel to Tamale on Friday where he will stay until after the game against The Hippos on Saturday.
