Asante Kotoko chief Opoku Nti has congratulated the Black Stars on their massive win over Egypt while calling on supporters to turn up for their outstanding Premier League match against Hasaacas.

The champions will be hosting Hasaacas on Thursday to clear their six-week fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Kotoko have maintained their 100 percent start to their title defence and are looking to extend this record even further when they meet the visiting team from Sekondi.

And the club’s Acting General Manager Opoku Nti is calling on the attention of the fans to make their love for the club manifest in the stands to cheer on the team to victory in order to regain their three-point lead at the top.

“I will first and foremost like to congratulate and thank the Black Stars for making all of us proud by producing such an emphatic win over Egypt,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“Their no mean feat was however made possible by the wonderful support given them by the fans.

“And this is what we also want for Kotoko as many of the supporters that turned up to cheer the Black Stars are Kotoko fans.

“And therefore I am calling on them to provide a similar if not better support for the match against Hasaacas.

“Our team have been doing very well since the start of the season part of which we owe to the fans.

“But it is about time we call on them again to turn up in their numbers to help the team maintain their enviable start to the season.

“Our challenger(s) won over the weekend which means the gap has been closed temporarily but we need to restore the lead.

“This we can however only achieve if we get the absolute support of our fans and I believe they will give us a resounding response.”
