Hearts of Oak could lose Ahmed Toure

Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko claim they have opened negotiations with former striker Ahmed Toure despite rivals official Hearts of Oak featuring the player in their Top-four clash last week.

The Porcupine Warriors claim their flew in the 27-year-old to Kumasi on Monday morning and he will put pen on paper by Wednesday to deny Hearts opportunity of landing him.

“We are in serious talks with Ahmed Toure and he is set to arrive in Kumasi by Star bow to finalise his deal with us. We will do all that we can to deny him from registering for Hearts of Oak,” he told Metro FM.

Toure's local rep Antwi, claimed on Sunday afternoon talks had advanced with Hearts and the Phobians remained the favourites to land him.

However, latest developments, if true could deny Hearts the chance to sign him though fans of the club have expressed their readiness to contribute funds to his signing.

Kpando-based Heart of Lions also verbally expressed interest as revealed by Toure's agent.
