Asante Kotoko coach Charles Kwablan Akunor has warned against complacency ahead of his side's second leg clash with Coton Sport de Garoua in the CAF Confederations Cup play-offs.

Despite a 3-2 first leg victory in Cameroon, the former Ashantigold gaffer says the team must be focused as they seek to complete the double in Kumasi on Sunday.

“We have to guide against complacency because once we were able to win in front of their fans, anything is possible in Kumasi,” he told the media at the airport.

“We’ve done one part of the job and need to finish them in Kumasi next weekend. I’ve advised the players not to celebrate the win now because we have a lot of work to do in Ghana” he added.

“The players proved against Coton Sport that they have what it takes to achieve success. But the tie is not over so our next target is to complete a double over them and this demands sacrifice.”

The Porcupine Warriors will progress to the group stages of the competition if they avoid a two goal deficit defeat in Kumasi on Sunday.

It will be the first time since 2008 that the record Ghanaian champions reach the group stages of a continental championship.
