Asante Kotoko coach David Duncan believes his team was meted a raw deal with the disallowed goal in their goalless draw with Inter Allies on Sunday.

The winning streak of the champions in the Ghanaian top flight was halted in Tema by Allies.

Kotoko however had the ball in the net in just the second minute but the goal, off a corner kick from Eric Donkor was disallowed for no clear reason.

And with the game ending in a goalless draw, coach David Duncan feels the disallowed goal could have handed his side the win.

“The goal we scored I thought was a perfect goal and shouldn’t have been disallowed,” he said.

“If you look at the replay, after the ball went in, the goalkeeper grabbed the ball and threw it to the center because he had conceded.

“There were few chances created in this game so the disallowed goal was intriguing for me.”
