Asante Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani admits he has benefited from using a second-string side in the MTN FA Cup win over Agbozome Weavers.

Coach Dramani made several changes in his starting lineup that secured a comfortable 4-1 win over the third tier club at the Ho Park on Wednesday.

The wholesale changes were made necessary due to Kotoko’s crucial second leg encounter in the CAF Champions League against JSM Bejaia on Sunday.

Coach Dramani however counts his blessings after getting the rare opportunity to see most of his fringe players in action during the midweek knockout game.

“It was a good opportunity for us to see the other players and how they will play alongside the few senior ones,” he said after the impressive win over Weavers.

“We needed to make use of the squad with the game in the CAF Champions League on Sunday.

“And I believe we managed the situation well, after all we got the win here.”

Kotoko will now face Rainbow FC at the Round of 16 stage in the MTN FA Cup competition.
