Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu is expected to arrive from Sunderland on Wednesday night, the club have announced.

The ex-international has travelled to the Wearside where he is tapping from the technical know-how of Sunderland Boss Martin O'Neil.

He was on the bench together with O'Neil's backroom staff for Sunderland's 2-1 FA Cup triumph over Middlesbrough last week.

Konadu also went through series of coaching clinics with the Black Cats technical team.

He will take full charge of Kotoko's preparations ahead of the club's crucial trip to SC Medeama when the league resumes on Sunday.

Kotoko occupy top spot and want to consolidate their position with a win.
