Kotoko coach looking to take impressive league form into FA Cup

Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu insists his side is ready for the weekend’s FA Cup clash with Hasaacas despite being without some key players.

The Porcupine Warriors will be without influential captain Ohene Brenya, midfielders; Michael Akuffo and Daniel Nii Adjei as well as in-form striker Ben Acheampong who will be serving suspensions for accumulated cards.

Konadu however remains positive on his team’s prospects especially playing before their home crowd at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

“We have three of our regular players serving suspensions because of accumulated cards but I believe we have enough replacements for this game,” he told Takoradi-based Melody FM.

“I believe we have an upper hand because we are playing at home but we are not complacent because we recognize Hasaacas as a formidable side.”

Kotoko who missed out on last season’s FA Cup title to Division One club Nania FC hope to complete a historic double at the end of the current campaign.

They now lead with nine points at the summit of the Glo Premier Leagie with eleven matches to go.
