Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu claims a revision in his tactics in the second half was crucial in their 3-1 win over Legon Cities on Friday night.
Konadu's admitted his troops lost the battle in midfield in the first half and were eclipsed by Goran Barjaktarevic's side.
The Porcupine Warriors rallied from an early goal scored by Papadopoulos Panagiotis to level the scoring before the break through Augustine Okrah.
In the 51st minute, Emmanuel Gyamfi intercepted Emmanuel Suleiman's back pass, raced forward before slotting into the bottom left corner for Kotoko to take the lead.
Just after the hour mark, Songne Yacouba delivered a sweet cross from the right which was headed in by Gyamfi-for his brace.
Konadu was thrilled with the output of his personnel after the interval.
''It was a good game, we played much better in the second half,'' he said in his post-match speech.
''They started 4-3-3 with two holding midfielders and that gave us problems, we came with an antidote in the second half and dominated the game.''
