Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu is optimistic the players will be in good shape before the season gets underway in November.

Konadu complained about the players' rustiness after they reported to training for the first time in over six months due to the ban on football.

The ban was as a result of the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

However, ahead of their pre-season training in Koforidua, Konadu has assured fans that the players will be ready for the season.

“We will be ready ahead of the season because whether we like it or not we have to be ready by the time the league kicks off. We want to assure our supporters that we will do everything in our power to get the players on good condition” he said.

The Porcupine Warriors will train in Koforidua for three weeks.
