Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu is delighted to have goalkeeper and captain Asante Kotoko extend his stay at the club.

The Ghana international gloves man signed a new three-year contract which will see him at the club until 2022.

Konadu has returned to the club to see Annan rise through the ranks to become leader of the team.

''Felix is the captain and he is loved by the players, technical team and the supporters,'' the former Ghana assistant coach after the signing ceremony.

''He has a huge positive influence on the team. He is a very good goalkeeper and a great sportsman.

''He is a Black Stars goalkeeper and we are lucky to have a player like him in the team.

"We need his services because he is the type of player that we cannot do without. And it makes me very happy that we have extended our union to make him stay."

Annan joined Asante Kotoko from Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord Academy (now WAFA SC) in 2011.

He had two fruitful loan spells at Real Tamale United and his former club WAFA SC and that helped build his confidence and gave him the requisite First Team experience.
