Kotoko coach names strong squad for Sony Nguema return leg qualifier

Asante Kotoko coach Mas-ud Dramani has as named a strong 18-man squad for their CAF Champions League return leg preliminary round qualifier.

The contingent includes former player and coach Abdul Razak- former African Footballer of the Year- following management's decision to include former stars on their away trips.

The two-time African champions hold the aces to advance to the next stage of the competition after a first leg 7-0 win a fortnight ago.

Kotoko go into Saturday's match after an unconvincing 3-3 draw with Liberty Professionals in the Ghana Premier League.

The team will leave Accra on Wednesday night to Malabo for the second leg qualifier on 2 March.

Kotoko contingent:

Goalkeepers- Isaac Amoako and Soulama Abdoulaye

Defenders- Akwasi Bobie Ansah, Joseph Ochaya, Ohene Brenya, Kwabena Adusei, Rashid Sumaila, Bernard Adama and Amos Frimpong

Midfielders- Godfred Asante, Michael Akuffu, Prince Baffoe, Michael Helegbe, David Ofei and Richard Mpong

Attackers: Yussif Abdul Aziz, Seidu Bancey and Kofi Nti Boakye.

Technical Team: Coach Didi Dramani (Head coach), Coach Henry wellington (Assistant coach), Godwin Ablordey (team manager), Dr. Kwaku Boateng ( team doctor) and Jerry Pratt Newton (Team physiotherapist).

Others: Osei Tutu Agyemang (Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Football Association and an Executive member of the GFA), Executive Chairman, Dr. K. K Sarpong , International Relations Consultant, Kwame Baah Nuakoh and the Operations Manager, Ernest Owusu Ansah.
