Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum expects a tough match against Accra Lions, acknowledging that the team's poor league standing will drive them to perform well.
Kotoko will face Accra Lions on April 16 in a Ghana Premier League match.
"If you look at Accra Lions, they are a very good side. They are not in good standing on the league log, but they will be more motivated," Ogum said.
"They will come to play and win to get themselves out of where they are now." Ogum recognizes that Accra Lions' current position in the league will push them to be more determined and focused on securing a win.
Despite admitting that his team is experiencing fatigue, Ogum expressed confidence in Kotoko's preparation and determination to secure victory.
"Tactically, we are ready," he said, adding that the match is expected to be closely contested. Ogum believes that despite the fatigue, his team has prepared well and will be ready to give their best on the field.
The league match between Accra Lions and Asante Kotoko will kick off at 3 pm at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Both teams will look to emerge victorious in the highly anticipated match, with Kotoko aiming to secure crucial points in their bid for the league title.
