Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has outlined his high expectations for the club as they look to bounce back in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

After a challenging campaign last year, which saw the Porcupine Warriors struggle to compete for the title, the coach is determined to steer the team towards success.

In an interview with 3Sports, Coach Ogum made it clear that his target for the season is to secure numerous victories and restore the club's winning tradition.

“We should expect this team to do very well by the end of the season, to play well, and win more games. Kotoko is known for winning games. If you coach or play for Kotoko, you know it’s a task you must accomplish,” he affirmed.

Kotoko is currently sitting 7th on the league table with three points, having an outstanding match in hand. As they prepare for their Week 3 clash against newly-promoted Young Apostles next weekend, a victory could see the team climb higher in the standings.

Coach Ogum’s ambitions are clear: lead Kotoko back to their winning ways and put them firmly in contention for the league title this season.

The match between Asante Kotoko and Young Apostles will be played at the Len Clay Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 22.
