Controversy continues as Kotoko coach expresses interest signing Hearts striker Mahatma
Asante Kotoko want to sign Mahatma Otoo

Asante Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani admist he would love to sign Hearts of Oak striker Mahatma Otoo.

The champions have sent official notification to their rivals of their intention to open talks with the 21-year-old.

Otoo is out of contract at the end of the season – making him eligible to negotiate a fresh contract with any club of his choice per the FIFA rules regarding player transfers.

Hearts are however unhappy with Kotoko’s move especially as their letter came days ahead of the super clash on Sunday.

Coach Dramani has now paved the way for the move by admitting he will welcome Mahatma Otoo to Kotoko with the player’s quality proving to be the trump card.

“Every coach will need him (Mahatma Otoo),” Dramani revealed.

“Yes even if I have him today, I would love it.”

Hearts are however determined to hold onto their captain amidst mounting interests domestically and abroad.

The Phobians risk losing their lead striker for absolutely nothing of they fail to agree a contract extension by the time his current deal expires at the end of the campaign.
