Asante Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson was unhurt after a scary car accident on Monday at Abura Dunkwa on the Cape Coast highway.

The centre-back defender went to his hometown to mark the one-week funeral rites of his late father.

Ainooson’s car veered off the road and drove into a trench after one of his tyres burst.

The 2014 CHAN star was sent to the hospital but was discharged the same day.

“He had an accident but it was not a serious one,” Kotoko team manager Godwin Ablodey told GHANAsoccernet.com

“One of his car tyres burst as a result of hitting a deep pothole.

“He was discharged the same day after the Doctor had checked on him.”

“He is fine. He even trained this morning (Tuesday).”
