Kotoko defender Wahab Adams reveals how Saddick Adams wanted him to play soft on him in Ashgold friendly

Asante Kotoko defender Wahab Adams says former teammate Saddick Adams implored him to be soft with his tackles on him in the friendly against Ashantigold on Sunday. 

The Porcupine Warriors defeated their regional rivals 3-2 after twice coming from behind to emerge winners of the game.

Burkinabe import Yacouba Sogne scored a brace with Wahab Adams grabbing the winner after former teammates Saddick Adams and Eric Donkor had scored for the miners.

Adams, who was a stalwart in defence on Sunday explained that his former teammate Saddick Adams begged him to take it easy on him.

"Yesterday's game wasn't one of the tough matches I've played in my career thus far but when we started the game, Sadick Adams told me to take it cool with him so it wasn't like I was bullied in the game," said Wahab Adams.

The Kumasi based club have been on a run of good form after beating arch rivals Hearts of Oak in a back to back friendlies.

Ashantigold, however will look forward to redeeming their pride when they host the Porcupine Warriors in Obuasi on Sunday.
