Asante Kotoko first choice goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama is settling in well on his return to his national side.

The 29-year-old was handed a recall to the Burkina Faso squad by new Belgian coach Paul Putt for games against Congo and Gabon after falling out with then Portuguese coach Paulo Duarte.

Putt was in Ghana earlier this week to finalize the return of the ex ASFA Yennega glovesman and has since been training with the team in Ouagadougou.

And Kotoko officials are thrilled with the progress being made by their leading goalkeeper.

“We are happy for him, his exploits with Kotoko this season has earned him a return to the national team,” Kotoko’s spokesman Listowell Bukarson told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“It’s the prayer of of management and the entire Kotoko family that he performs to justify the confidence reposed in him by his coach.

“His success is the success of Kotoko therefore we will be keenly following his exploits in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.”
