The National Chapters Council of Asante Kotoko has jumped to the defence of under-fire coach Bogdan Korak insisting the Serbian should be maintained.

The future of Korak has been hugely speculated in the media after his side lost 1-0 to second-tier side Nania FC in the final of the MTN FA cup on Sunday.

The Serbian took over in November last year and guided the club from an unsafe 14th position to finish third in the league last season.

The club's umbrella body for Kotoko fans is preaching continuity.

"It's important we allow Korak to continue with his work. It's too early to sack him because he has not had ample time with the club even though I speak in my personal capacity," the NCC PRO Nana Kwame Dankwah told Citi FM.

"It’s understandable how the supporters feel and due to the passion for the club, naturally some will fee downhearted but we can’t just follow passion and take the wrong decision’.

"We must look at the supreme interest of the club and allow Korak to continue for next season for a proper assessment of his work."
