Kotoko goalkeeper Isaac Amoako does not intend to take short cuts in his recovery from injury.

The 30-year-old has been ruled for six weeks with a knee injury and will miss the chunk of the club’s pre-season training.

The former BA United glovesman is desperate to return but he admits he cannot rush things as it could prove dangerous.

"With this recovery I am trying to do my best to be able to play again, but I cannot do it in a hurry," he said

“I have to take recover naturally. I am confident I will be fully fit before the start of the new season.

“It’s not proper to rush things.”

Newly-signed ex-Ghana Under-20 goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi is expected to give Amoako and Joseph Addo a stiff competition.
