Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara urged to stay grounded after key performance vs. Karela United

Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has advised goalkeeper Mohammed Camara to stay grounded following his standout performance against Karela United.

Camara, who started due to captain Frederick Asare’s international duty with Ghana, made several key saves to secure a 1-0 victory in Kotoko’s season opener.

In a post-match interview, Ogum expressed confidence in Camara’s abilities, especially in Asare’s absence.

He encouraged Camara to maintain his hard work and focus throughout the season.

"I said there was not going to be a problem (in the absence of Asare) because we have good goalkeepers. On Match Day, we select the one we think suits the game," Ogum said.

"It’s beneficial for us to have reliable goalkeepers so that when the defence is beaten, he can step up to save the team. Mohammed did that well, and I urge him to keep his confidence, work hard, and stay focused."

Kotoko will not be in action this weekend, as their scheduled opponents, Nsoatreman, are competing in the CAF Confederation Cup against CS Constantine.
