Asante Kotoko talisman Ahmed Toure has been cleared for Saturday's tie against Hearts of Oak after passing a late fitness test.

The Ivorian sustained a foot injury and missed the corresponding fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Last season's Ghana Premier League best player can be catalyst in Kotoko's quest to win the bragging rights before the start of the new campaign.

Toure scored at the Accra Sports Stadium last season when Kotoko run away with a 2-0 win and will come in as an inspirer.

''Ahmed Toure is okay. He has no problems. Everybody is fine with the exception of Yahaya Mohammed,'' Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu told Angel FM

''Let's hope we get a good day because matches between these two clubs are very important.''

The first leg of the friendly match dubbed MTN Super 2 clash ended 1-1 in Kumasi.
