Ghana Premier League leaders Asante Kotoko will leave Accra on Thursday for Tanzania to play a commemorative match this weekend.

The two-time African champions will make the trip to play a combined team of Simba FC and Young Africans in the 50th anniversary celebrations of the East African country.

Head coach Maxwell Konadu together with his backroom staff will leave with 18 players for the match to be played on Saturday 11 December.

The trip means their Ghana Premier League clash against champions Berekum Chelsea has been postponed to Wednesday 14 December.

Kotoko sit atop of the Ghana top flight after ten rounds of matches with a two point advantage.

The club ended Ebusua Dwarfs's unbeaten run in the league with a hard fought 1-0 win at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
