Ghanaian giants Kotoko are expected to seal the transfer of striker Sadick Adams by next week as the Porcupine Warriors are building to return to the top of African football.

The two-time African champions have reached an agreement with the player on his personal terms which means the deal is 75% complete.

The Kumasi-based side has now requested the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) of the impressive youth striker from his Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel.

New board chairman Dr. K K Sarpong and his team have spoken with Etoile about having the striker on loan and the request has now been formally made.

“We so far have the commitment and consent of the player and he has also informed his club of the permission to go ahead with negotiations with us. He has also concluded any terms he has on his mind with us,” Kotoko International Relations Manager Kwame Baah-Nuakoh said.

“What is left is for the two clubs to come to agreement on the modalities for his move to Kotoko.” Kwame added.

Dr. Sarpong is keen on making the Porcupine Warriors kings of Africa again as the club had been struggling before he took over.

His professional approach to the way the club is run has attracted massive sponsorship deals while top class players have been signed to boost the squad.

This approach has also attracted English side Sunderland who are keen on a partnership deal with the Porcupine Warriors.

Serbian coach Bogdan Korak has whipped Kotoko into shape, moving them from the relegation zone to second on the league table.

Adams’ signing will further boost the squad as already some of the players are attracting clubs from abroad.
