Kotoko are not interested in signing striker Mahatma Otoo

Asante Kotoko have ruled out holding an interest in want-away Hearts of Oak striker Mahatma Otoo.

The leading Ghana Premier League scorer is out of contract at the end of the season and looks he is disinterested in signing a new deal.

Otoo has been linked with move to Europe with Sunderland and Olympique Lyon reported to be interested.

South African Premier Soccer League side Mamelodi Sundowns have also enquired about his availability.

But Kotoko are not ready to pull a transfer coup when the Ghana top-flight ends in June.

"Otoo is not on my radar at this stage; he is a property of Hearts of Oak so I can't discuss him further," Kotoko Executive Chairman Dr KK Sarpong told Kumasi-based Metro FM.

"I don't even know him but every good player in this country is a potential Kotoko signing.

"We are an attractive club and will be ready to sign him on if he is interested in playing for us; we understand he has a few months to end his contract with them."
