The Kumasi-based club is being punished for their President's Cup medal and trophy presentation snub on July 1.

The boycott was in protest of referee Awal Mohammed who ordered twice, a retake of penalty kicks of Chelsea in the shootouts after both team had played out an exciting 2-2 draw in regulation time.

Chelsea eventually won the annual one-off game by 6-5 on penalties.
