Kotoko striker Asamoah departs to Serbia for Red Star trial

Striker Nathaniel Asamoah has traveled to Serbia to begin a one-week trial with giants Red Star Belgrade, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 21-year-old Asante Kotoko player who has been on the radar of the former European champions left Accra on Thursday evening.

Officials of Red Star expressed interest in signing the ex All Stars player after impressing during Kotoko’s pre-season tour of Eastern European country last August but club’s technical team wants to take a closer look at him hence the trials.

Asamoah has scored five goals at the end of the first round of the Glo Premier League and will become the third Ghanaian signing at the Serbian giants after Lee Addy and Issa Mohammed if he is successful.
