Kotoko take aim at referee Awal Mohammed

Asante Kotoko pulled few punches in their assessment of referee Awal Mohammed for ordering two missed spot-kicks to be re-taken in Friday's President's Cup against Berekum Cheslea.

The club have received the flak for boycotting the medal and trophy presentation ceremony under the eyes of Ghana vice president John Mahama at the Accra Sports Stadium .

Kotoko say the referee stands accused for his bad decisions.

"Go and attack him (the referee), can you imagine what would have happened If this was a Hearts-Kotoko match?," Kotoko's Director of Operations Jerry Asare told GHANAsoccernet.com

"I hardly complain about referees but this one, no two ways about it. Ghana football must take the necessary steps to develop not to use such people with criminal backgrounds.''

Kotoko in 2005 walked off the pitch during a pre-season GHALCA Top 4 tournament against Heart of Lions at the same venue.
