Kotoko thump Dwarfs 4-1 in friendly

Asante Kotoko condemned Ebusua Dwarfs to 4-1 a defeat in a memorial game at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

Striker Kofi Nti-Boakye hit a double to add to Issa Yakubu and Ben Acheampong strikes.

Prince Appiah shot Dwarfs ahead with a 25-yard drive after 21 minutes but former Liberty striker Yakubu levelled for the Porcupine Warriors nine minutes later after an Addade Foli howler.

Nti-Boakye applied a clinical finishing touch to a Kwabena Edusei pass in the 35th minute to put.

Edusei, who moved to Kotoko from SC Medeama last month, laid a defence-splitting pass for Nti-Boakye to fire past the former Ghana U20 shot-stopper.

Acheampong scored a superb goal after skipper Daniel Nii Agyei showed dexterity in the vital area.

Agyei went past three defenders to play through Acheampong who superbly placed the ball beyond Foli.

Nti-Boakye scored his second goal in the 70th minute when he flicked a David Offei corner from the right with a header.

Dwarfs coach Professor Mintah handed a debut to former Ghana goalie Patrick Antwi who replaced Adade Foli in the second half.

Returnee Eric Bekoe was a second half substitute for Kotoko.
