Kotoko to appoint Karim Zito as new assistant coach

Karim Zito will be confirmed as the assistant coach of Asante Kotoko in the coming days, GHANAsoccernet.com has gathered.

Zito, who is close to acquiring his CAF Licence A certificate will assist Mas-aud-Dramani ahead of their Premier League defence next term.

He will take temporal charge of the team for their pre-season exercise in the absence of Dramani Â who will be guiding the Black Maidens at the 2012 Fifa Under-17 World Cup finals in Azerbaijan this septmeber.

The two men will be expected to work wonders to make the Ghanaian giants champions of Africa again.

Zito has rich coaching experience from the Ghana Premier League after handling Hearts of Oak, BA Stars and King Faisal.

He  has also coached Nigerien side Sahel Sporting club.

He was a member of the Kotoko squad which won the African Clubs Championship Cup in 1983.
