Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko have created an office for the appointment of a Sporting Director.

The man to be in-charge of the new portfolio will supervise the club's technical handlers.

A club statement read: "The office of a sporting director has been created to provide oversight over all of the club's technical issues and the position would be filled at the appropriate time."

GHANAsoccernet.com understands the Board of Directors will meet later to decide whether to head-hunt or shortlist applicants for the job.

It looks likely that a foreigner will be named for the job.

Meanwhile, Senior Team coach Maxwell Konadu has been appointed acting-Sporting Director.
