Kotoko will reject an offer from Hearts for midfielder Yahaya Mohammed, according to a highly placed source at the Kumasi-based club.

The capital-based side has written an official proposal to their sworn-rivals for the services of the impressive lanky enforcer.

The ex-OGC Nice player was sidelined for the better part of the season due to a niggling knee injury but Hearts believe they can offer him the best platform.

But the offer for the 24-year-old will be turned down by Kotoko.

“Kotoko will not sell Yahaya Mohammed to Hearts. They only one  the club will be considering is an offer from a club abroad,” sources revealed to GHANAsoccernet.com

“Otherwise he remains part of the club and will help us in our campaign next season.”

Kotoko’s saw their pursuit of striker Mahatma Otoo rejected by Hearts and that could have prompted the decision of the Porcupine Warriors to put an ice on any potential move of the former Tema Youth and Real Tamale United player to the 2000 African Champions.

Mohammed is reported to be trying out with an unnamed South African Premier League side.
