Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have arrived in Accra with a crack 20-man squad of for their highly-anticipated Ghana Premier League clash with exciting Legon Cities on Friday night.

The re-branded Legon Cities, previously known as Wa All Stars, have sparked interest and debates in the country by putting existing senior clubs on the alert following their impressive re-positioning.

With a spanking new bus and the signing of goalkeeper Fatau Dauda, the Royals are keen on defeating Kotoko on the first Friday Night Football of the season.

The home side have also boosted the match with the signing of top musician Shatta Wale to entertain the fans for the match.

But Asante Kotoko’s have brought a tough 20-man squad to Accra for highly competitive match in Accra.

Fresh from signing a new deal the club's best goalkeeper Felix Annan and Ghana U23 star shot stopper Kwame Baah are the goalkeepers in the squad.

Others include Christopher Nettey, Ibrahim Imoro, Patrick Yeboah, Agyemang Badu, Empem Dacosta, Wahab Adams.

And Augustine Sefah who had contract renewed just a few days ago was also on board.

The midfielders had Justice Blay, Martin Antwi, Collins Ameyaw, Mudasiru Salifu, Kelvin Andoh, Emmanuel Gyamfi and Augustine Okrah

Naby Keita, Matthew Cudjoe, Songne Yacouba, Richard Arthur will lead the line.

There’s some intriguing stuff on that list. Most intriguing is Kwame Adom Frimpong who was not seen in the video.

He hasn’t played a competitive game since his signing and I’m sure this omission is because of injury. Winger Sam Adams was also not seen in the footage.

Asante Kotoko take on Legon Cities FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday with kick off at 6:00pm (GMT).
