Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko have announced they will unwrap Ivorian striker Ahmed Toure on Wednesday in a short ceremony at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. 

The Porcupine Warriors beat bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak to the signature of the 27-year-old and bring him back to the club on a three-year-contract.

Kotoko reportedly splashed $30,000 to gazump Hearts of Oak out of the battle.

"We will unveil him [Ahmed Toure] on Wednesday in a short ceremony before we play B/A United in a friendly game at the Baba Yara Stadium," Kotoko spokesperson Alhaji Ali Maradona told Accra-based Oman FM.

Though Kotoko claim the striker has ink the deal, they admit he is yet to pass medicals.

"Yes we have signed him but he will undergo medicals today and will seal the deal," he added.

Toure emerged as a transfer tussle between Hearts of Oak and Kotoko after shinning for Hearts in the off-season GHALCA Top-Four competition, re-igniting Kotoko's interest and his eventual return to the club.
