Asante Kotoko winger Emmanuel Gyamfi is eyeing a good campaign with the club in the CAF Champions League next season.

The Porcupine Warriors will represent Ghana in Africa's elite competition next season, following the cancellation of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier Legaue.

The Ghanaian giants were eliminated after the final stage of the qualifying rounds last season, but Gyamfi, an integral member of the team hopes they go a step further this season.

"We are definitely going to Africa so we will plead with Ghanaians to support us. In fact, we will need much from them in terms of prayers," he said.

"We the players will assure them to progress to the next stage of the competition, we aim to go higher," he added.

Asante Kotoko are two times champions of Africa but have struggled to make an impact on the continent since reaching the final of the Confederation Cup in 2003.
