KP Boateng’s Barcelona dream diminishing

Published on: 04 March 2019

Kevin-Prince Boateng stay at the Camp Nou might come to an end this season as the player hasn’t convinced Valverde and the board since he arrived according to report in Spain.

The 31-year old loan move from Sassuolo to the Catalunya club was a surprise in the January transfer window with Barcelona having an option to sign him permanently for € 8 million if he impresses.

Boateng was signed by the Catalunya based on his performance with Spanish side Las Palmas and to serve as a back up to Luis Suarez.

However,he has failed to sparkle for Barcelona since he arrived and has not been selected in the team’s previous four matches played including the El- Clasico on Saturday.

On  the occasion of his debut game in the La Liga he failed to impress and was robbed at home by thieves.

According to Spanish newspaper AS there is little doubt on the future of the Ghanaian if his stay will be made permanent at the end of the season as Valverde has not called him for 4 matches.
