Fans of Fiorentina descended on the boy after he celebrated an Inter goal, which Melissa felt disgusted by.

She took to social media blast the fans of her husband's club, insisting the boy was too young to be attacked.

“Aren’t you ashamed to make a child scared and cry just because he cheered for his favorite team? I call you ignorant!.”

In a series of posts on Instagram, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Melissa slammed the home supporters for making a child cry.

She wrote: “In the middle there was a 10-year-old boy sitting with his father, on the second goal of Inter the child cheered with his dad and was verbally attacked by some ‘fans’ of Fiorentina.

“The father and the child were taken away from that sector by some managers from Fiorentina, who behaved very well and tried to reassure the child, because the situation was degenerating.

“I wonder? Aren’t you ashamed to make a child scared and cry just because he cheered for his favourite team? I’m sorry but I don’t call you fans, I call you ignorant!

“Florence is wonderful, but these people who have done this are to be left at home and they must not be allowed to ruin the name of the Florentine fans.”

The game ended 1-1 after an injury time equalizer from the La Violas.
