Defender Kwabena Adusei has replied his former club Asante Kotoko over claims he ditched them to sign for South African side Mpumalanga Black Aces.

The centre-back was accused of stabbing the Ghanaian champions in the back to sign for the Premier Soccer League side.

Kotoko accused him of absconding to the Rainbow nation to sign the long-term contract.

Adusei has revealed he was out of contract and did nothing wrong in leaving the club.

“I had no contract with Kotoko so I could do my own thing. This is what they must all understand so that they will stop describing me as a traitor,” Adusei said.

“I never turned my back at the club but rather the club did because they did not take my issues into consideration and were not prepared to meet my demands so I had to move on to where I would be cherished.”
