Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah will win his first major title on Sunday if his Italian side Juventus get a result against Palermo in the Serie A.

A draw this weekend against lowly Palermo will be enough for Juventus to wrap up their 29th Italian league title.

A home draw for Juventus in Turin would give Asamoah's side an unassailable 12-point lead over Napoli with three games remaining after this weekend.

The Ghanaian will be thrilled if they manage to chalk victory at home against the struggling side as it would be his first career title in his entire career.

The 24-year-old joined Juventus at the start of the season from rivals Udinese who are known regularly in the middle of the table.

But his move to Juventus has brought his talent to the fore has he has been instrumental in the club's successes this season.

Asamoah has played 26 matches and scored two goals so far this season.

Juventus have lost only four times this season and, with 66 goals, are second only to Roma for goals scored (68).

All Napoli can realistically hope for is a win at home to Inter on Sunday to cement second place, which offers direct qualification for next season's Champions League.

AC Milan, who have Sulley Muntari and Kevin Boateng in their squad, sit third ahead of hosting Torino at the San Siro on Sunday, but are still seven points behind Napoli and are under pressure for the third and final Champions League spot from Fiorentina, in fourth only one point adrift.
