Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah waved goodbye to Udinese as he leaves for the Africa Cup of Nations with a goal in their 4-1 win over ten-man Cesena in the Serie A.

The 23-year-old's first goal of the season doubled his side's advantage in 54th minute with a powerful left-footed drive from outside of the box.

The Little Zebras had to win the tie to boost their title hopes and Cesena, relegation-trapped did more harm to their season by going down by one man.

Italian prolific marksman Antonio Di Natale scored under one minute to hand Udinese the lead but the visitors came in strongly and levelled through Citadin Eder on 38 minutes.

Udinese returned from the recess to take full charge of the game and Kwadwo Asamoah scored with a powerful signature drive from just outside of the box nine minutes after the interval.

The former Liberty Professionals midfielder set up Dusan Bata on 75 minutes before Di Natale sealed the victory with an 82nd minute finish.

Compatriot Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu made a return from injury but sat on the bench.
