Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah will have to wait to find out whether his Juventus side will progress from their Uefa Champions League group after their game was abandoned due to hail and snow.

The sides were taken off after 32 minutes of play because the lines on the pitch were not visible after heavy snowfall in Istanbul.

Officials planned to resume the action after the surface had been cleared but continued heavy snow forced an abandonment with the game goalless.

Both sides can still qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

Juve boss Antonio Conte handed a place in his starting line-up to the Black Stars midfielder and he was in action while the game was called off.

Juventus have won their last seven league games without conceding a goal and would be in the last 16 already had they not conceded a late goal at home to Galatasaray and drawn 2-2.
