Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey has assured Ghanaians of his ‘mammoth’ commitment to the Black Stars.
The 24-year-old Norway-born is the latest convert into the Ghana national team a few months before the disappointing episode with Kevin-Prince Boateng.
The AC Milan midfielder decided to ditch the Black Stars on health grounds and with this fresh on the minds of Ghanaians the Stromgodset shot-stopper insists he is in for the long haul and is desperate to prove it at the Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
"I am committed to the Black Stars and with time it will tell," he told KickiffGhana.com.
"For me it is not about where I grew up but what I have always wanted and it has been to play for the Black Stars."
Since making his debut against Swaziland in September, Kwarasey has churned out impressive performances between the sticks for the Black Stars, thereby dethroning Richard Kingson as Ghana’s no.1 goalkeeper.
He however adds he is not resting on his oars and is even looking to improve his game while helping the Black Stars claim its first African crown in 30-years.
"I may be inexperienced but I have a lot of qualities and I am very determined to do well at the Nations Cup,†he added.
“I am really looking forward to it and I want to be part of the team that brings the Nations Cup title to Ghana for the first time in 30 years.
"It is not about who is not there because being a goalkeeper is enough pressure, especially for Ghana."
