Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah insists he has not thought of resigning from his role as Black Stars head coach suggesting he cannot afford the compensation clause in his contract.

Pressure has been mounting on the 56-year-old to quit his post after the Black Stars failed to beat Uganda in Kumasi in a Group E AFCON qualifier on Saturday.

But he says he has not considered the idea, hinting he does not have the financial muscles to pay the Ghana Football Association the compensation clause in his contract.

"I will not resign because if I do I have to pay the FA [compensation]. I haven't thought of resigning," he said.

The Ghana Football Association is set to appoint a technical advisor to provide assistance to him.

A move that does not look very welcoming for the former Asante Kotoko captain.

"Cant answer yes or no. If we've money to pay 1,000 people to advise me, fine," he answered when a journalist asked him whether he needs a technical assistance.

Serbian Milovan Rajevac, who coached Ghana at the 2010 World Cup, has dominated is expected to be confirmed.
