Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has shared his expertise on how the Black Stars can qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Nyantakyi's comments come at a time when the Black Stars are facing intense scrutiny following their failure to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
In an interview with Lawson FM, Nyantakyi expressed optimism about the team's potential but emphasised the need for significant changes.
"I don't think all is lost, but we have to fix it," he stated. "We have World Cup qualifiers in March against Chad and Madagascar, and I believe that the right players will have to be called for these games."
Nyantakyi stressed the importance of assembling a team of players who are not only talented but also deeply committed to representing the nation.
"It should not be the normal call-ups but players who are ready and dedicated to play for the country and the shirt," he added.
Nyantakyi's tenure as GFA president saw Ghana qualify for three consecutive FIFA World Cups from 2006 to 2014, making his insights particularly significant.
