Incumbent Kwesi Nyantakyi has been re-elected head of Ghana football until 2015 by popular acclamation, vowing to put into action series of sweeping reforms.

Nyantakyi, 43, was given a free run at another four-year term by members of congress after standing unopposed on Friday.

The 123 delegates at Friday’s congress at Prampam kept faith with the CAF executive member by popular acclamation.

“I am happy to be re-elected as President of our Association. With all humility, I extend my gratitude to all Members of the Congress for endorsing my re-election," Nyantakyi told Congress

"My re-election presents another opportunity to me and the Executive Committee and indeed all of you to forge together and meet new challenges that confront our Association."

"In spite of the modest achievements recorded, a lot still remains to be done. We still have challenges confronting us in all our core areas of work," he said.

Kwesi Nyantakyi is the first President of the GFA to be democratically re-elected as President of the Federation.
