Takyi Arhin, an avid critic of Kwesi Nyantakyi, has hailed the Ghana FA boss for appointing George Afriyie as his second-in-command.

Afriyie, a director of Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals, was confirmed as Ghana’s FA vice capo on Tuesday after several media predictions.

The widely-respected football administrator has endeared himself to Ghana football aficionados with his insightful and deep-seated knowledge of the game.

And Takyi Arhin, a former director of BA United and a known critic of Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has been dazed by his choice.

‘‘It is a very good decision on the part of Kwasi Nyantakyi to appoint George Afreyie as the successor of Fred Crinstil due to his rich experience in football and upright in discharging his responsibilities but he needs to be submissive and democratic in order to chalk laurels for Ghana football.” Arhin told the Ghanaian media

The appointment of the Black Stars management committee chief appears to have been widely accepted with little or no reservations.

A fine character with an unquestionable desire for success, Afriyie is expected to play an influential role in the third-term mandate of the CAF Executive Committee member.
