Lampard: Nothing is final for Kepa, things can change

Kepa Arrizabalaga hasn't been forgotten by Frank Lampard at Chelsea, who has left the door open for the Spaniard to earn his place back in the starting XI.

WIlly Caballero has found himself playing over the former Athletic Club goalkeeper lately, with the Chelsea boss unsatisfied by the Spaniard's performances.

"I'm paid to make decisions so with form I have to consider the goalkeeper position," Lampard said on Friday when asked about Kepa's position at the club.

"Recently it's just changed, but that's nothing final.

"All Kepa needs to do is train and show a great attitude, as I demand from all the players.

"And things can obviously change. But all I want is the best for the team."

Chelsea made Kepa the world's most expensive goalkeeper when they signed him from Athletic, but Lampard denied that him dropping the 'keeper could cause problems with the club's board.

"Certainly not," the coach replied when asked if tension was building between him and those upstairs. "That fills a lot of headlines for people.

"I'm absolutely together with all the club and the board, because we all want the best."
